From October 14 to 17, the 15th National Symposium on New Carbon materials sponsored by Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Shenzhen.
Lu Chunxiang, a researcher from Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, Kang Feiyu, a professor from Tsinghua University, served as the chairman of the conference, and Cheng Huiming, a researcher from the Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, served as the director of the conference committee.
Conference opening ceremony, Kang Feiyu, Cai Chenxi respectively delivered the opening speech. The conference invited Chen Liquan, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher of Institute of Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as many experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Zhejiang University and Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry to deliver a number of special reports on the theme of "New carbon materials".
The conference consists of three sub-sessions and a wall newspaper exhibition area. A total of 189 research paper abstracts were compiled, covering all aspects of the research and development of new carbon materials, focusing on the latest research results of the research and development of new carbon materials in China. The paper is divided into four major topics: carbon fiber and its composites, carbon matrix composites, functional carbon materials and other carbon materials.
During the conference, several awards were presented. And more than 380 experts and scholars from colleges and universities, research institutes and industrial sectors across the country attended the seminar.
