In the AITO M9 and Huawei Winter All-Scenario Product Launch event held on December 26, 2023, the AITO M9 was officially unveiled. AITO M9 comes in two power versions: extended-range and pure electric. The price range is between RMB 469,800 and RMB 569,800. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on February 26.
As a flagship product under the HarmonyOS Smart Mobility by AITO, the AITO M9 is equipped with Huawei's intelligent automotive full-stack technology, featuring numerous advanced Huawei smart automotive technologies. These include the new HarmonyOS 4, the HUAWEI SOUND Excellence Series, the TuLing Intelligent Chassis, HUAWEI ARHUD Augmented Reality Head-Up Display System, and the HUAWEI XPIXEL Million-Pixel Smart Projection Headlights.
In terms of power, the pure electric model is equipped with a high-speed motor of 22,000 rpm, achieving an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, with an energy consumption of 17.4 kWh/100 km. The extended-range model adopts the pure electric drive extension platform 4.0, with a compression ratio of 15:1, combined with an intelligent extension system. The comprehensive cruising range reaches up to 1362 km (42-degree battery) / 1402 km (52-degree battery), with a pure electric range of 225 km (42-degree battery) / 275 km (52-degree battery).
The AITO M9 features the next-generation TuLing Intelligent Chassis, utilizing front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension. It comes standard with intelligent closed-type air suspension and CDC variable damping shock absorbers. The vehicle height can be adjusted in five stages, balancing comfort and handling. Based on the HUAWEI iDVP Smart Automotive Digital Platform, the AITO M9 employs AI and software capabilities to maximize mechanical performance, providing a better driving experience in terms of openness, safety, and comfort.
In terms of intelligent driving, the AITO M9 has comprehensively upgraded to the HUAWEI ADS 2.0 Advanced Intelligent Driving System, equipped with a newly designed 192-line laser radar. Through the General Obstacle Detection (GOD) 2.0 and Road Cognition & Reasoning (RCR) 2.0 networks, the AITO M9 can accurately identify vehicles, pedestrians, traffic facilities and signs, pylons, and more. The intelligent parking of AITO M9 achieves visible parking, supporting custom parking spaces and trajectory reversing, as well as an innovative parking valet function.
Building on the powerful capabilities of HUAWEI ADS 2.0, the AITO M9's Forward Collision Avoidance (AEB) capability has been further enhanced. The AEB can actively stop for stationary objects at speeds up to 120 km/h, covering both human-driven and smart driving scenarios. The lateral support for active avoidance ranges from 40 to 120 km/h, and the rearward support for active braking ranges from 1 to 12 km/h, significantly reducing the probability of accidents. Additionally, the AITO M9 is the first to feature the Emergency Steering Assistance (ESA) system, which automatically controls steering to help the driver avoid collisions when there is a collision risk with a target in front, providing users with enhanced intelligent evasion capabilities for increased safety.
